11. Limit screen time an hour before bed

The blue light from your computer, TV, pda can stimulate your body and keep you from being able to fall asleep in a timely manner.  Instead of watching TV all the way up to bedtime, get a good book and read or write in a journal.  Snuggle in the bed with your child and read a story.  The exception to this bedtime tech rule is to use an ipad or kindle to read - but select a black background with white text.
