9. Cutting Board Grooves
Did you know that bacteria can hide in the knife grooves of cutting boards? Take special care to sanitize cutting boards before and after use to reduce the risk of food borne illness. I run cutting boards through the sanitize cycle in the dishwasher after use to kill pesky bacteria leftover from food. Wooden cutting boards are porous and provide an even trickier place to clean; so refrain from cutting raw meats on cutting boards or butcher blocks.
