3. Gelatin (from grass-fed cows)
Gelatin is a protein derived from collagen and is made into a dried powder from dehydrated animal parts. Sounds gross, doesn’t it?! But this stuff is incredibly healing as it provides us with important amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins and helps form strong tissue, strengthening the gut lining and lowering inflammation. BAM! That’s what we want. This is what helps with food sensitivities and intolerances - a strong gut lining and little to no inflammation!
Here are a couple of brands I have tried - Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin and Great Lakes Gelatin. I usually put a scoop into a smoothie or make fruit juice gummies for me and my family.
