8. Lemon Balm Oil
Lemon Balm is also a member of the mint family and has soothing, therapeutic and cooling properties. It works as an antiviral agent containing tannins (astringents) and cannot completely wipe out the herpes simplex virus, but it can fight against the unpleasant symptoms and prevent it from infecting healthy skin cells. This balm also contains eugenol, which helps to kill harmful bacteria. Mix 2-3 drops of Lemon Balm Oil with one ounce of another carrier oil, then dab on infected area 2-3 times daily till sore disappears
